Patient Transport Services and Private Ambulance Hire

Manchester Medical Services offer Non-emergency patient transport services (also known as Private Ambulance hire) for Hospital appointments and admissions, transfer of the elderly and / or infirm, Nursing home transfers etc.

Our PTS fleet incorporates a wide range of vehicles. These enable us to carry people comfortably whatever their needs, whether they require a stretcher, a wheelchair or simply a reassuring hand to help them in and out of a car. With the latest vehicles in our fleet we have more space for wheel-chair users and we also have tail lifts / ramps for convenience.

All our vehicles are crewed by ambulance technicians who have been trained in advance medical skills, moving and handling techniques and specialist driving skills. 

Our service includes the provision of easily accessible cars for those with minor mobility problems, minibus style vehicles with ramp access for those who require to travel seated in their wheelchair or lying down on a stretcher and high dependency ambulances for those who need extra care on their journey.

We are here to help if you or somebody you know has difficulty with conventional transport. We regularly help people to attend special occasions such as weddings, holidays, visiting friends and even shopping trips. Naturally, we also offer a punctual service to those attending hospital or other medical appointments and can arrange respite transport.
