Extreme Medics

Manchester Medical Services are proud to be able to offer the ‘Extreme Medic Services’. We can provide medics who are trained and extremely competent in some of the most extreme environments possible.

So if you're filming in some extreme location from the freezing temperatures of a mountain side to the vertical dangers of a tower crane or you are running an extreme challenge event in the mountains, on the water or underground – we have medics ready to keep you and your people safe.

 

Mountain Medics

Our mountain medics have a huge amount of experience operating in the harsh and ever changing conditions of the mountains. Not only is their experience gained from a lifetime of mountaineering around the world; from the UK peaks to the European alps in winter to the wider ranges of the world, our medics also have decades of mountain rescue training and expertise and are current and active mountain rescue personnel.

  • Trained and highly competent mountaineers
  • Trained and competent Mountain Rescue personal (and instructors)
  • Advanced navigation skills
  • Able to operate in all extreme weather conditions from White out to blistering desert temperatures
  • Mountain Casualty care and extraction experience and training
  • Ski Patrol trained medics

 

Technical Access Medics

Difficult, technical and vertical access is not confined to the mountains of this world - it can be found anywhere from a quarry face to a tower crane in a city centre or the underground environment of mines and caves or simply the steep and slippery slopes of a river bank. Our technical access medics are highly experienced at operating in all of these environments.

  • Trained and highly experienced in technical access
  • Trained and highly experience in technical rope access and extrication
  • Trained and highly experienced in confined space and underground environments.
  • Able to operate in technical and difficult access environments such as vertical - natural and manmade structures, on and in water, underground and confined space.

 

Water Medics

Many events and filming are held in or on water or simply close to water. All water environments present specific and difficult challenges to your staff and the public. Our water medics are trained and highly experienced in operating in and around all water environments.

  • Trained and highly experienced in operation in and around water.
  • Trained in all water environments – Costal, open water, Inland waters, flat and swift water, underground water environments.
  • Extrication from land to water and boat to water.
  • SCUBA trained and experienced.
  • Qualified boat handlers for fast rescue craft.
